   Judge Montgomery has received the Presidential Commendation from the State Bar of Texas for individual leadership in improving justice statewide.

  Judge Montgomery is the only Dallas civil court judge to complete coursework and be certified as a Civil Trial Judge by the non-partisan Texas Center for the Judiciary.
